Safe Nature and Humanity Club (SANHUC) is a non-governmental, non-profit Nigeria-based organization working to sustain the environment for the benefit of people and nature. Our main aim is the promotion of conservation of nature, transforming lives through community empowerment, sound public health practices including campaigns against social vices, in our communities and urban suburbs.
Our focus is on solutions to conserve, protect and restore ecosystems, reduce poverty through community empowerment and education, promote sound environmental health practices, provide humanitarian assistance to communities, and reduce Green House Gas emission through environmental conservation and sustainable agriculture. We also engage with relevant stakeholders to recognize the right to a safe, clean, healthy and sustainable environment, through advocacy. We also support the efforts of community-based organizations to implement initiatives that promote conservation of nature and community empowerment.
The media is also engaged to tell the story of how agriculture will help deliver a more resilient, climate-smart future in Nigeria and the world at large, by shifting perceptions, encouraging commitments, and holding our leaders accountable.
We also provide services for animal capturing and translocation, designing and stocking of Wildlife Parks providing a platform for Protected Areas conflict management, internships and volunteering services.
A values-driven and environment conscious society of people who work for conservation of nature, promote sustainable environmental and agricultural practices, as the basis for sustainable and equitable development.
We thrive for a better environmental management, community empowerment, sustainable food and nutrition security, livelihood improvement, environment-friendly lifestyles and sound environmental health practices.
The land of Nigeria is vast and varied, and so are the ecological and economic challenges. The struggle for natural resources between people and wildlife has resulted in varying degrees of ecological issues including climate change. Despite these issues, Nigeria is a country of great potential if resources are sustainably managed. Opportunities abound for improving the lives of our people, environment and natural resources. At SANHUC, we are working throughout the country to improve the lives of millions of youths, women and underprivileged people in our communities (including urban suburbs), and help Nigerians chart a course toward a sustained environment for the benefit of people and nature. We also work with and strengthen stakeholders in Protected Areas (PAs) management and ensuring that, they are effectively managed according to international best practices.
